Forest Walk
Laki Sideris took photographs along the entire On Country/In Residence forty-kilometre three-day walk across the Dandenong Ranges/Corhanwarrabul. The camera was set predominantly at waist height—the height of a child—and framed to capture the sweep of the immediate view ahead, only occasionally glancing up. The images are a document of seeing without trying to contextualise. To observe, but not to claim understanding.
